Hi all, I am due to collect my integra type R this week, u have been building a b18c4 engine with plans to turbo ..

So far I have:

Stock low mile b18c4
B18c6 flywheel
B186c cams
Skunk plenum
Spa cast top mount manifold,
550 evo injectors
P28 socketed ecu

Now I have 2x turbo choices.. I picked up a brand new garret tdo4e which is a 60/60 trim..

Now I'm thinking this maybe a little
To big and laggy..

I have an R33 skyline with a standard housing hybrid turbo.. A 47/56 with steel internals..
I'm thinking of using this instead as its oil and water cooled and should make 380/400 bhp..

Comments welcomed ..

Cheers man, I worked hard for a while to get the buck to buy these cars..

I build the R33 from standard spec, to 414 bhp..

Cheers guys.. Cars are my life.. I studied 4 years of Automotive engineering at university then started building ever since then (3 years)

I've always loved Hondas and especially the integra ..

I'm really looking forward to making this in to a beast

The Garrett is a nice turbo and will flow up to 450hp. The Spa manifold is OK but make sure it will clear the hood before you finalize everything. I would do a quick mock up to test fit as it might not clear the hood and then you would have to make some changes.

And you will need 750cc injectors to make 450ish on gasoline

Cheers man, I was thinking at least 650 cc so there some room for duty..

Ill be happy with 380/400 bhp as it is a stock motor still..

Luckily the batch of manifolds I managed to get 1 of, sits really quite low compared to the other similar in design.. (Pot luck that was)

I'm still undersides about which turbo to run..

The reason being - it seems crazy to me that I'll be running a BIGGER turbo on the b18 then i run on the RB25 skyline engine..

I was thinking of taking the r33 turbo (hybrid) oil and water cooled for the Honda build

Ten putting the new garret on a new top mount manifold on the skyline..

Thoughts on that ..? Cheers ..
