New muffler for better sound.

Hey guys, my car sounds like crap, sounds like its got a can for an exhaust.

I want to get a better sound for the lowest price possible.

I dont really care if people think i'm being a fag by putting a new muffler on because I honestly dont care.
I work hard for my money and I love my car and this is my choice.

If anybody could point me in the right direction to getting a better sound from my engine that would be great.

Ps I have checked out the forums sponsors and I found a few mufflers on sale, will these make a better sound or do I have to upgrade the whole exhaust system.

I went to advance auto, and bought a 2 inch inner and outer Thrush "welded" muffler, along with the fittings, and elbow pipe to exit it out the back. It sounds real good, not too loud, or rappy, and not like a fart can. It quiets down nice going down the highway, and I am very pleased with my purchase. The muffler cost 30-40 dollars, and the maybe 15 or so for the piping and fittings. I decided to weld mine on, but if you were okay with it, you could clamp it on. I havent got a tip on mine yet, still deciding on that. Good luck!
