just installed a new valve cover gasket a little over a month ago when i bought my car beacuse oil was in the spark plugs and leaking everyhwere out of the sides of the valve cover.
so randomly i pop my hood today and there's fresh oil coming out of the sides of the valve cover...

i know it can't be the gasket that thing is new... what could be my problem?

You probably didnt clean and dry the surfaces completely. Did you use any hondabond/RTV silicone around the perimeter to help seal it better?

I had a similar problem on a buddies car we cleaned everything really good and was still leaking oil. So we took it apart and ran a bead of RTV on the inside of the valve cover where the gasket goes and letit dry for a while. The spacing out of the gasket ensured a leak free seal for about 4 years and is good to this day.
