newbie! please help B18a engine

What kind of transmission do I need. I have a 1990 integra gs 4dr with a b18a engine. Ineed an automatic:)

you kind of answered your own question, you need a b18 auto trans if im not mistaken lol

you want a 1990 or newer auto LS transmission. The LS, GS, RS are the only models that came in automatic and they all have the same motor/transmission combo so its all the same thing.

yes the 1990-1993 LS came with a b18a1 in them. They didnt get b18b1s until 94. All B-series motor transmission combinations are plug and play. With auto transmission you can take any auto trans from any LS RS or GS and install it on any model LS RS or GS of any year.

B18A1 use A1,S1 Cable and YS1, Cable
B18B1 uase Y80,S80

The difference is one cable and the other is not cable. That will effect the speed sensor and ECU.

he is wanting an auto trans. I think at this point cable and hydro are not in play
