Oil catch can?

Okay so I just got mine in the mail, and I've searched in and out and up and down.

Now, this is what I got

I know the valve cover goes to one, and I'm guessing theres a spot in the intake mani for the other? Does it matter where which one goes? Also, I was reading and some people put steel wool in side the catch can to help better filter out the oil vapor, is this a good idea? And finally, do I have to buy a filter to screw into the end to vent the can? Or can I just leave the cap half tight?

keep oil out of your intake manifold. NA cars dont really need them. Turbo cars do b/c under boost theres a lot more oil that gets pushed past the PCV valve.

Its just a "preventative maintenance" thing that I wanted to do, it was only 20$

im definitely gonna buy one of these. i took off my throttle body and it is pretty greasy and gunky on the inside of my intake manifold and on the inside of my throttle body. Like wth, i know that the PCV valve and such let some oil into the manifold sometimes, but damn, this was just a bit a extreme.
