oil leaking between head n block

hi i just finish my ls vtec built n when i started up the car it seem fine but then after 5 mins it start to leak oil by the driver side the head is a gsr and the block is ls built and resurface with 2 layer head gasket and dont know why is leaking, we bolt everything correctly to spec can any one help me out thanks

Yes, you should have it resurfaced.

Make sure it is not coming from somewhere above first. The head gasket holds back mostly coolant. It has little contact with oil. I would check your valve cover gasket and such before you start ripping the head off your block. If it was leaking oil was escaping past the head gasket, then it would likely be contaminated with coolant.

As what Mark said, exhaust your other options before pulling the head off. Once you do, that head gasket is trash and you need to get a new one.

no i figure it out it was bolt to tight and has to replace head gasket so now i running a 1 layer headgasket everything running perfect now thanks a lot

i had the same prob but it turned out to be the cam seals above
