I live in CA
So this ct header is about 5 inches shorter than the flattened dc.
muffler shop was charging me 80$ to cut and weld a new pipe lol. I said NO.
i need a new exhaust system anyways so im buying a ws2 or something similar.
my future power goal is 190whp
i was going to go (id) 2in header (carblegal) - c/e 2.5 all the way thru.
Now today i learned my cat is illegal its 2.5 (id).. i had no idea thats illegal because of the application.:/ is this true??
is 2.25 all the way thru too small for my power goal??
tying to sqeeze as much power NA as possible staying 100% CA legal.

Icing on the cake pan is still leaking..

Your oil pan might be leaking due to the fact that it was over torqued at one time and is now warped.

you can make 190 on a stock head, stock injectors, stock block, dc header, some shitty exhaust and a skunk2 stage 1 tuner cam. my buddy did it on his crx a while ago. If you want to make more power you cant stay carb legal. 190 is the limit for a carb legal build IMO. My built gsr with stock internals passed smog but barely. What are you plans for the build?

Hmmm is it noticeable when warped?
and will adding hondabond all around the pan fix it? (With the pan off)
no and no
you should do hand tight from the middle out, then a little tighter and a little tighter always going from the middle out. my oil pan leaked when it was torqued to spec, i just did it to whatever i wanted to and it never leaked after.

I dont know alot but from what i have read throughout the forums.
My c1 crank and rods are good enough
Raise my compression with pistons, while pumping on 91
i think i can Not go higher than (11.5.?)
upgrade cams and gears
springs retainers
Maybe bigger TB and port match to IM
port and polish the head and IM
i have my i/im/h/c/e
hondata
tune

Remember This is future plans. Im starting from the ground up. For example- finishing up my exhaust then moving to bushings and suspension. Etc

This is my dream car and she deserves it :)

do this:

Skunk2 tuner 1 cams (CARB legal)
Skunk2 springs
Skunk2 Alpha TB looks like stock unit
Skunk2 PRO manifold (CARB LEGAL)
3" AEM SRI (CARB LEGAL)
Header

RS machine 81.5 PR3 pistons
ARP bolts
Honda bearings

Motul V300 oil

Hondata S100

thats 190 without touching fuel delivery.

Id like to say thank you for hearing me out

That all makes sense to me other than the oil and honda bearings.
Dont i have honda bearings?
Would there be any point to port and polish the head? And a valve job?

If you dont know what motul v300 oil can do for your car i suggest looking it up. I think its the best oil you can buy. Its a grade above synthetics and lubricates differently. You will be replacing your bearings when you pull the crank out. I would do a valve job when you take the head to the machine shop. I didnt include machine work. Port and polish will help but its not necessary. Your real bottle neck is fuel delivery which wont pass visual.
