paint sidemarkers?

Hey guys soi ordered some amber color sidemarkers from ebay, and sure enough they sent me the smoked color ones (black) so I don't wanna send em back but I was wondering if I could maybe paaint it amber color? Would it work? Or look good? Maybe I could use some paint thinner to take off the smoke color and get some special paint to paint it amber? Would you guys think it would work? Help please! Thanks!

If the smoke color is a paint on the plastic then you can try and remove it. It is much more likely that the plastic was tinted and is not clear. I don't think painting them would be a good idea because you could make them too dark, and the finish probably won't be even.
I would either send them back and tell them what you ordered, or just live with it.

Send em back if that's not what you ordered. Don't waste money fixing a mistake they made.
