Painting Heat Shield

So I hate the look of my old heat shield with the little bit of rust and the weird blue paint. Also i don't like the look of the stock rusty headers, i decided to pain the heat shield black.
Finally got it off

Before

After Paint

Will put it back on in the morning when it dries
Let me know what you guys think when its back on

What kind of paint did you use? I once painted my exhaust manifold with "high heat exhaust paint." Basically stripped it to bare metal, coated it, cooked it in the oven to cure it, let it sit, basically did all the steps to "cure" it correctly. First time it was on the car, almost all of the paint cooked off.

Let me know how it works out when it's back on and heated up. I know a heat shield won't get as hot as the manifold itself, but I was very disappointed with my purchase, seeing as how it was like 900 degree paint. -_-
