painting window trim

how do you paint window trim on a 99 ls exactly ive been looking everywhere and cant find anything on how to just some results and stuff.

should i sand it?
what grit?
what paint shuld i use?
will i need to clear coat it?
what company for clear coat

and on my ls it is not rubber its kind of a weirder material i cant really describe but just some suggestions on waht u all think. thanks

On mine I sanded it with 1200 grit just enough to get a good scuff and followed up with semi gloss black trim paint that you can get at kragen or even walmart.

if you're talking about the weather stripping and what not, do what this guy did (got from ClubRSX)

i heard wonders about that product, i just bought it and will use it soon...
