Well, yes. Raping a car is going to be worse for it than driving around slow as hell but it still should never grind unless there is a problem. Whether it be worn synchros, leaking hydraulics or the clutch being out of adjustment.

we should focus on taking care of our tegs, not what to do when we abuse the hell out of them.

didn't read all these posts, i just want to know why you are shifting at 8000 from 1st to 2nd as a DD? do you not have stopsigns, stop lights, people, other cars, around you?
