quick valve cover question

I was just wondering if the bolts on the valve cover need to be torqued down to anything specific. A few people have told me it doesnt matter, while a few others say it does. if so what does it need to be torqued to. thanks

I cant believe I didnt check that first. I forgot all about it. I only looked in the chiltons and I couldnt find it.

I wouldn't suggest making it to tight. My buddy snapped one in half with it stuck in the head on his DA. What a dumb ass.

cinch them down hand tight. once the rubber grommit starts to squish keep going until it gets snug.

thats what I did because my torque wrench is broke and I didn't want to buy another one. I drove about 60 miles and then checked and saw no leaks so I figure it is right. thanks everyone for the help
