I have been building this current DC2 since Spring of 2007, part of the story is below:
Before:
After I sold my mint 94 GS-R to a friend who needed a car. because his EF got stolen, I always dreamed of building a white DC2 with a JDM conversion. I already had a JDM B18C sitting from a previous transaction. So after months of looking for a white shell, I finally found my base. Here is the process of the build:
1-07-07
Craigslist posting pic. Scoping out the shell. Asking price $2200, paid $1550. Alot ricey, but very clean:
1-13-07
Actual pics after the stakeout:
3-20-07
Brought back shell to my friend's house for the rebuild and dericing. Negotiated for $1550.
4-05-07
Look what UPS dropped off:
4-21-07
Hacking off the USDM support to install the JDM support:
5-08-07
Cleaned up engine bay and ABS delete:
Dropping in the motor:
Finishing headlight wiring and final fit:

Planning for boost this Spring. Already have the kit, just trying to find the time to install and tune.

After Fall of 2011:
Updates:
Installed my newly powder-coated valve cover, sprayed covers black, minor rearrangement, sprayed the intake pipe black:
Before:
After:
Minor engine tuck, temp valve cover while the pink one is powder-coated, and now rolling on some rare Volk Racing Group A Evo II's:
After detail:
My wet-sanding experiment last year was somewhat of a success. But I left a ton of sanding marks. I decided to splash down some cash for a professional detail. The pics speak for themselves:
The "Hype-R" in the daylight after the detail:
