rear main seal?

i was told that my rear main seal is slowly leaking, there is also a bad burning (smells like oil) eveytime i drive over 4k rpm. its a 2dr 97 ls 5spd, i changed oil&filter, trans fluid, valve cover seal, did nothing for the problem but needed done anyway. the head gasket seems fine. But i was told the oil should on trans side, obviously, but while my car was on a lift i took a pic, its not the closest but i hope it helps someone point me in right direction. sadly i dont have the $ to have my tranny dropped so any help would be appreciated greatly, thanks.

cant put pic up yet but the oil is mainly in the mid or opp side of the trans...idk

Pull back the rubber boot for your clutch actuator, you should be able to get a light in there and see if you have oil everywhere.
