Ive had to rock the engine using a prybar to gain enough room to change the rear mount in other cars before. I even had to unbolt the exhaust once to get it to rock far enough away from the firewall. I havent done a mount on a 3rd gen though so I can't say if it would be nessisary or not. good luck

when we put the motor in mine we left the exhaust un hooked it wall still a challenge but was a lot easier than with everything together n putting it in. just an idea

undo the bracket from the motor... this will allow you to line everything up
next bolt the mount to the bracket
then bolt the mount to the subframe
and finally the bracket to the motor

i had to do this when i put in my polyurethane inserts

i agree with you i had to do the same thing with my integra. It took about 2 hours to complete.
