Rear traling arm Bushings

sorry in advance. this is a long post. Im very new to this sight, but it has helped me before. Im driving a 1990 acura integra stock. Its automatic. i took my integ into my auto shop at high school because the previous owner of the car, my brother had bought tires for it a couple of months ago, and all of a sudden the inner part of the thread of the tire is already down to the metal threads. every other part of it is good but that part. my shop teacher said that i need to replace the bushings of the rear trailing arm. i went to check at home and both bushings are shot and crumbling at a touch. i am debating whether to just buy the new bushing at napa auto parts for $45.95 each or look for a better price online. some other questions i have are that do i have to replace the bushings up front? has anybody had any experiences with this before? if i do buy bushing online (preferably a hyper flex 16.7107g http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Suspension-16-7107G-Hyper-Flex-Trailing/dp/B000CN72QU)that do not come with the metal shaft that hold the bushing onto the traling arm, will i have trouble taking off the old shaft from the old bushing and putting it on the new one? thank you in advance.

Yeah I just did this recently. Its considerably easier and faster to just replace the whole bushing with sleeve rather than the energy suspension bushing only.

But you will need a Scheley honda/acura trailing arm bushing extractor.

When you get the tool just follow the directions and make sure the pin in in the same position as the original when putting in the new one.

thank you for the information, but is there a way to manually insert the bushing with out the tool? Im still in high school and i cant spend $100 for a tool for a one time job. Also does any one in hawaii living on the island of oahu happen to have one that i can rent?
