Rebuild Questions.

Chirp from 1st to 3rd!
I have a 96 Ls. It currently has 142k miles. And I plan on rebuilding it sometime soon.I was thinking of doing. LS/VTEC but I decided I wanna stick with my LS Non-Vtec.So question is like what parts are involved in rebulding a motor. So far I know I wanna get new pistons,cams,cam gears. .What else is involved in bulding and doing all the internals.What am I missing? I'm fairly new to this, and any help would be appreciated.I'm open for suggestions on what to get, andwhat brands I should go with .
