Remove Valve Cover Paint?

Anyone know a good method of removing vavle cover paint? It was red and originally baked on so it's being a bitch to get off. Also I don't want to paint over cause, well I just don't.

aircraft paint stripper!? i think that's what it is called. either that use some strong degreaser.

gasket remover worked on mine dont get it on anything else though spray on and use cheap towels and wipe off old finish dont get it on u thats what the guy that told me to use it strongly xpressed

lowes/ homedept sells some paint stripper in a aresol can, that and a hose will do wonders

YES IT DOES i was even wearing gloves and it still burned my hands. So try not to get it anywhere on your body or hands.

I have a can in the garage, does a good job. I got it at wal-mart.

definitely use "aircraft remover" apply with a brush and let sit for a couple minutes and use a scraper to remove paint. Then spray with water hose, will get some more paint off. About three coats worked for me.
I didn't wear gloves and that shit burned like hell. So get some gloves for sure.

good stuff aircraft stripper...i've painted 5 valve covers with wrinkle paint and i use the stripper to get off all the old paint.
