replacing transmission

Transmission went out how difficult is it to replace it my self. And an i better off with a new tranny or used one.

Auto or manual?
Think it took me a total of 6 hours to drop my old one and put the new one in. That was working slowly and quietly because it was always at night.

It's not hard at all. But I guess it depends on if it's an auto or manual.

It's not hard, just as long as you know what bolts go to what. The hardest part is lining up the tranny and that's about it, but that really isn't that hard. I actually just put my new trans. in like an hour ago
