ripped brake piston boot, front wheel

i was doin brakes when i seen a huge peice of piston boot ripped off, how long till brakes fail? when brakes fail in traffic am i not gona be able to brake?

nothing from nowhere
well, its really a dust boot to keep dirt and water out of it. it will eventually cause a problem. being a brake item i would change it asap.

You should be able to [A] Buy a rebuild kit with the boot included or go to the dealership and see if they have individual replacement boots or [C] Go to AcuraOemParts.com (Delray Acura, Florida based dealership) and see if they have it in their listing

yeah get new caliper..

odds are if you don't replace that boot an that one caliper leaks in dust, it may just be isolated and just fail there and you will be able to stop but you will have significant trouble trying to stop. OR it will leak into your master cylinder(dust) and will clog up eventually meaning worst outcome
