Seat comfort? I'm looking for a replacement front seats.

I'm on the search for replacement front seats for my LS. I've been looking at getting legit type R recaros; but I'm wondering if other aftermarket seats are just as comfortable. Does anyone on here have type R recaro replicas and are happy with them? Should I just looking for GSR leather front seats to replace my ailing driver front seat that is ripping and feels as though the cushion is gone. I want to start auto x sometime either by Dec 14th or the beginning of 2014. Also I want to use the stock seat belt if possible. I've been in a 5 point setup and don't want to buckle up that way everytime I drive my ride.

Do not get replicas. Merlin's Beard posted a detailed reason why you shouldn't get them not too long ago, I'll see if I can find the post.

I would also stray from the leathers if you plan on auto-x, I can already see you sliding around while cornering :lol:

If you don't want the pain of swapping rails, buy the usdm or jdm recarro itrs. They're both very comfy and hold you in tight corners.

I daily a full on fixed position bucket seat...soo really it comes down to whatever you wanna buy man. I find my seat very comfortable.

lol i'm a total cheap@ss no recaros here.
but after 19 years something had to change.
then i looked over at the relatively virginal passenger seat
and the lightbulb came on. you cant swap the seat back frames
so i pulled off the cloth/foam assembly and swapped everything else.
bolts are torqued down hard of course so a breaker bar is necessary.
watch out for the screw hidden under the head rest height adjust mechanism.
you'll also have to slice a hole for the lumbar adjust, i just left it as is.
now my not so fat but 200lb ass is riding in style again lol.

There we go, that works. You could always look at other Honda seats. I have rsx seats in my DA, they are amazing! The bolsters are sweet, they keep you in that chair during any and all cornering. They look and feel great, and at a small fraction of even used Recaros.

How would I install RSX seats in a DC without fabrication?? I'm trying to avoid the shop at all costs.

Still dlo253 thanks for the suggestion and I will keep that option in mind since dropping almost 1k is abit much....but they look so nice.

most comfortable seat I own yellow itrx recaros so is recommend them lol otherwise I recommend saving for something legit

Yeah, I was just fortunate enough to have the tools and ability to do it on my own so it just cost me the seats.
