Sema 2010!!!

This was my 2nd year at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association trade show, otherwise known as the SEMA Show. Last year was my 1st year, and it was kind of depressing last year because of the economic turmoil we were going through and it definitely reflected the festivities. If the size of SEMA is an indicator of our national economic state, then we must be doing better because SEMA 2010 was much busier, much larger, and overall just better than last year. I loved walking the floors of the Las Vegas Convention Center and seeing how all of the trends have swam upstream like salmon, all the way to the manufacturers booths. Hyundai was showing several VIP styled cars, Honda had a couple of stanced cars, and almost every car in the Mazda booth was rockin’ flush wheels. I actually saw stretched tires on a CR-Z in the Honda booth!

This flat black Benzo was the 1st car I took a shot of. Couldn’t deny it some lens time!

A stanced out 3 Series.

Honda CR-Z Hybrid R – Thankfully I brought extra boxers… I needed them after seeing this car.

Turbo’d ’72 Chevelle. GET OUT OF THE WAY!

Vold Racing’s Subaru.

Classic Corvette. Love the red paint!

Wide variety of CP Pistons on display.

V8′s and machine guns: The American Way

Camaro on air? Yes please

Eibach CR-Z. Doin’ it RIGHT!

Bisimoto CR-Z Nutrional Facts

Carbon fiber? Check. JDM Honda emblem? Check. Stance and fitment? Check.

Fitment was on point on the Tjin Edition CR-Z

Tjin Edition CR-Z (again)

Stretched tires on the CR-Z Hybrid R

Peep that rear wheel!

Beautiful lines on the wide-body and wrapped BMW M3

Hyundai definitely stepped up with their Sonatas!

Who would have guessed? A VIP Hyundai Equus!

So ill. Not sure exactly what it is, but it’s FRESH!

No idea what this is, but I loved it!

Love wide rims!

Volk Racings FIA-Approved Formula One wheel. I think it’s wider than it is tall!

Kia Forte Koup Type R. Not sure how I feel about calling it a Type R, but it looked good.

Can’t wait to see this hit Redline Time Attack next season!

Castrol Syntec RX-8

Another race-prepped Mazda 2

There’s an RX-8 somewhere in this shot.

Mazda 2 with some flush, (but small) wheels. Track-prepped.

Aaron Viccars Ford Fusion, rockin’ Ksport Big Brakes

The car isn’t the best part about this picture…

HorsePower Freaks Powered E46. If you don’t know about HPF, check them out here.

Dropped and Fitted Prius. I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile. Motivation!

Rally Prepped Porsche

Enkei 92′s are perfect for your old school Japanese car

D. Mertzanis’ showin’ love!

Top Gear and the History Channel had several baller taxis. Lambos, Porsches, Rolls Royces, a Viper…

Another car that I can’t identify, but was drooling over.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. trying to remove the rear bumper from his Mustang

Probably my favorite car that was outside.

Crispy!

I think I have those same sponges under my kitchen sink…

Old Meets New on this Chevrolet Bel Air

GT40-inspired Scion xB

Overall I had a blast in Vegas for SEMA 2010 this year. Between the show and the nightlife, SEMA is definitely a highlight of my year. I got to connect with some e-Friends, drink with my co-workers, and see a lot of rad cars and aftermarket parts. Can’t beat it!
