separate horn switch

i wanted to wire a horn switch into my car by the shifter, because i gotta racing wheel and it doesnt work for some reason with that. what kind off switch could i use?

You can just wire your old wheel, you'll need to tap into the horn line, it's a live circuit. Anytime it's grounded and the loop completes it will sound.

what do you mean? , i get the part where when it's grounded it honk's, but how could i make it work with a switch lol sorry im not that good with this stuff

Not sure if it will help but on my preids teg the previous owner had a button installed not like a toggle switch thing.

im thinking any of the push buttons from the autoparts store something like this should work

wiring wise, i couldnt tell ya personally id try to figure it out lol shouldnt be too hard

yeah thanks for the ideas, i ordered a momentary push button switch now i need to figure out how to make the wiring longer
