All Skunk2 headers are designed and engineered to maximize exhaust flow and increase both horsepower and torque throughout the powerband. The unique design is the result of more than a decade of racing experience coupled with computerized modeling and extensive dyno testing. Each Skunk2 Alpha Series Header features equal-length, sequentially paired, stepped primaries and a 4-2-1 tri-Y design that terminates into a collector with a 2.5-inch outlet. These features, paired with Skunk2’s unique design specs, provide an extremely broad powerband that’s applicable to a wide range of engine sizes and configurations.

Alpha Series Headers also feature the smallest possible primary tubes required to achieve optimum overall and peak power. By minimizing the primary tubes’ diameter, Skunk2 is able to maintain the highest possible exhaust gas speed throughout the header, which improves mid-range power and throttle response significantly. Skunk2’s Alpha Series Header provides the perfect combination of top-end power without sacrificing mid-range performance or throttle response.

I wrote a review of this header in the header review therad but ill write something here as well.

The Skunk2 Alpha B series header is basically a cheaper to make version of the flagship Megapower header. This header uses a 2.5" collector so it "deletes the cat" Now, with most headers on the market for street use (Greddy, DC, CT Engineering etc) they all have a 2" collector and bolt up to the stock cat and dont require any fuel remapping to see gains thus they have a CARB EO number. Since the Skunk2 header "Deletes the cat" you need something to fit, a JDM ITR 98 spec cat or something of the sort will do perfectly. or a custom cat. However, since this is a race header it does require your fuel map to be changed via dyno tune. This header tends to bog down with a basemap or a "close enough" tune, so it will bog down on a itr ecu or whatever you are running. That being said, i redynoed my car and it went from 166/123 to 177/124 with just the header and changing the fuel map. Well worth the money if you have a car that can utilize the header. Highly recommend this header.

Oh hurt...forgot stuff. This header will not work with AC, maybe the ac mount but not the ac compressor. You need to take out your fans for this thing to fit, the install would not work unless i removed my slim fans. The oem header bracket on the bottom will also not work with this header, Skunk2 provides its own.


EDIT: AC stiff is based off the Mega Power header. I assume they wont work due to the similar header design.
