Skunk2 Tuner Camshafts with Skunk2 Alpha series Springs Valves titanium retainer kit

I see they discontinued the tuner series Springs and titanium retainers. Does anybody know if that means you can use the alpha series Springs Valves and titanium retainer kit with the tuner series camshafts? I know it says the alpha valve train kit is not compatible with the pro series camshaft but no mention of tuner cams. Please help. Running a Jdm ITR b18c in 94 ls.

That's a very technical question that you should call them about.

It has to do with lobe sizes, and various heights.

Not all retainers are the same size, not all valvesprings have the same height once installed.

Oem specs have a set installed height with retainers for the valvesprings to not interfere with operation of the rocker arms and cam lobes.

This is very critical for high revving high horsepower applications.

It's always good to buy matching parts.

As Don said the best answer is always to call and confirm.

But it was silly to offer the lower level spring and retainer. If the springs will handle the larger Pro series cam then it will certainly handle the Tuner series cam.

Yeah it is weird. Thx guys I'll just call skunk 2 then as that's probably what I should have done anyway
