Spark plug cover, what size bolt?

Okay so this is a n00b question but here it goes. What size bolt do i need to secure the silver cover on my 2000 GSR? The one on the valve cover that covers the spark plugs. It was missing when I purchased the car and I figure I should probably replace it. Thanks for any feedback...

thanks, and it also looks like the old bolt is broken off in the hole, so any suggestions to gettin that sucker out? it broke off so that you can see it but you can't grab it...

Get a screw/bolt extractor. I think theres a product called the "Grab-it". Its a reverse drill bit, you first drill a pilot hole, then put the reverse thread bit in to remove it.

I suggest going to the dealership and getting the OEM part if you cannot find the exact thread info.

omg paden....lol its a 2000 gsr as he said in the OP

the thread pitch is less than 5 i think maybe not but yo can cut it off and get a new stud

How many GSR shells you know of rolling around with LS motors? I was merely clarifying. Don't get lacy pink panties all twisted up.
