Just hit 100,000 gonna change the plugs, wires, all the belts, and water pump. Also gonna remove valve cover (paint it) and buy a new gasket.

Are these any good?

how about these

Do you have to gap those? I was told you don't gap platinum. I want the better plugs though... ZEX is performance.. autolite is regular I guess. Will I notice anything special? fuel economy? more hp / tq or maybe just a more responsive drive?

Wires..

or..

I guess I'm basically asking if its worth the extra money to buy more powerful spark plugs and wires. Because I don't know what mods lie down the road.. or what performance plugs will do for my fuel economy / performance.

Go OEM (which are NGK's) on the plugs and OEM or NGK on the wires...

What motor do you have?

Plug part numbers
Non VTEC - ZFR5F-11 (NGK stock number 2262)
VTEC - PFR6G-13 (NGK stock number 4115)

They'll come pregapped the correct size but always double check them.

Wires
NGK
Non VTEC - HE82 (stock number 8041) or VTEC - HE64 (stock number 8018)
or if you want OEM, look them up here (dealer with free shipping) - http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214999

I got the NGK's. 2262 sounds familiar. duralast wires. theyre nothing special but they are still better than stock.

I feel like i did notice a difference in acceleration and engine response, and the previous plugs weren't bad at all.

Those e3 diamond fire plugs don't perform any battery than NGK Ir plugs. The e3 or even those Bosch 4 prong plugs just last longer and are harder to foul, and as long as your not running rich as hell then that doesnt matter. Current flow (electricity) chooses the path of least resistance. If a plug has 3-4 grounding tips the spark still only jumps to one at a time, not all of them at once so its no better than a standard spark plug. NGK IR plugs are the only plugs I use. NGK wires are great, but Duralast wires wont have the problem of the boots coming off at the end and getting stuck in the head cus thier boots are one solid piece.

Good to know. The last ones didn't get stuck either. I was worried they would, but they didn't. If they do, then thats what needle nose pliers are for. Thanks man

Plugs and wires

When choosing plugs and wires, does it go by which head you have or block
(sry if it seems like a dumb question, but I'm new to the whole engine swapping thing)
