Speedo, VSS code 17

My 1990 Integra GS has decided to stop telling me my speed. The speedometer is dead. Check engine is on, and the code is 17. Is this just the cable, which the previous owner, my buddy at work, said he replaced, or is this the assembly? I think it is the cable because there is no speed on the meter.....

it could be a lot of things... i would check the speed sensor and make sure everything is wired up correctly and didnt come loose

I know I'm famous for working on my car and knocking the speedo cable loose. I'd check to see if it pulled out somehow.

I found the cable pulled loose from the tranny. Thanks Talon
