would you recommend this exhaust for someone who travels a lot? i drive to houston to florida back and forth every so often.
Freeway driving youl be fine, doing 65 70 mph cruising along you can barely hear it @ 3000 rpm that is if youre not stepping on it, and having a 4 door is a plus too beacause we have a trunk not a hatch, that dampens the sound quite a bit too :D .

What kind of exhaust you running to yours? Would it be louder if i had a test pipe?

if you have a resonator, u'll be fine... that with a silencer and you will hear a nice deep tone, less noise, but also less performance...
Resonator is already connected with the mid-section correct? I running the Greddy pipes right now with the OMNI test pipe.

i had a tanabe racing medalion on my 95 gsr and loved it. wasnt loud and sounded good when you get on it. but i never hear of any tanabe anymore? whats up with this. no ones showing the love.
Tanabe's are quite loud but does sound good when you get on it. My nephew has it on his h/b. Its crazy when vtec kicks in. So does my spoon.

Apexi N1 can on 2 1/2 inch custom piping, yes is louder with a test pipe but only when stepping on it, it sound way better with the test pipe but is LOUD, normal driving to me it sounds the same, low powerful growl.

the spoon axle back exhaust was designed to work with the OEM ITR exhaust.....not GReddy or Apexi piping....or anything larger than the ITR catback system. so if you have something else mated to the Spoon exhaust its gonna be louder than what you would expect. Apexi N1 is loud (when your stompin' the gas) but it can be smooth if you have a steady foot.

it is usually a straight piece of piping or a small resonator that goes in place of your cat

i hated my tanabe exhaust it was to loud and annoying . the only good thing it was for when you go in parking garages you could set off alarms.

I must say I'm more of a fan of the Spoon N1. yes, it's loud as hell, even on stock piping on my old LS, it was hella deep sounding. The Apex'i is deep with a cat, w/o a cat, it get's kinda buzzy sounding. My friend has a test pipe and the resonator cut out on his 2000 SI, and it now has somewhat of a hollow sound to it, and fuckin' screams when he hits VTEC. You can hear it from a mile away, I swear.

The Spoon has a nicer sound, though, IMO. THose are the only two exhausts I would ever get for any of my cars. :)
