They test the battery starter and alternator all with one device at the store. I'd get everything tested at another store. Typically a lead acid battery only lasts 2-5 years.

An alternator and a starter usually only go two ways, they either work or they don't. You car wouldn't ever start in the first place if your starter was bad. If your alternator was bad your car would die while driving and wouldn't start again until the battery is charged and replaced.

Batteries are more temperamental. Your car may start when it's warmer outside, or after sitting all night and it may fail to start during lunch or after work.

If the battery is 4 years old it's not a bad idea to just replace it. You damage all the electronics in your car over time with an old battery.
