Stock cams.

I got my replacement head in today. It's off a 97 teg. It will be going on my 93.

Are the cams the same? or is one set better than the others?

B18A1 (92-93)

Camshaft specs:
IN: 1.3274
EX: 1.3083

B18B (96-01)

Camshaft Specs:
IN: 1.3274
EX 1.3200

as you can see the intake is exactly the same.

you can re-use your old intake cam if you feel unsafe using those in the picture

oem gasket goes for $60-75

you should also replace the camshaft seal, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, distributor o-ring, and the spark plug tube seals.

are you also replacing the timing belt & water pump?

go with the b18b cams. they will not cause any problems and you'll like the extra power. also, i believe the ports on your new head are bigger than the b18a.

the only thing different between a b18a and b18b as far as i have found are the head, cams, and intake manifold. the b18b is rated 17 hp higher than the b18a.
