Strange Scrataching Noise

Hey guys, so recently my car has starting to make these scratching/grinding noises. Im suspecting the noise is coming from the rear wheel(s) area. The sound starts quietly and progressively gets worse during my drive. The sound only happens when im accelerating, and is more noticeable when im reversing. The strange part is, is the sound goes away when i apply enough pressure to my brakes. Im completely stumped, help?

My guess is that its dirt/dust buildup on the rotors? But im probably wronnnng.

sounds like u need to replace ur brake pads, at least thats the first thing i would check because its super easy to see if the pads are worn out.
i had the same thing happen to me awhile back and i replaced to pads and it fixed it

your rear pads sound like they need replaced, you might have a sticking caliper that wore out one of your pads down to the metal
