I have been wanting to clean out my trunk of my sub box, but still want my subs.

Has anyone ever put like 8 inch subs, with a custom bracket, behind the quarter panel plastic, where the stock place for the speakers are.

want to run 8 inch EV's. just want to see if anything has done it or knows how to.

2 door of course

If you did, you would have to build a custom enclosure to fit the sub/panel. Every sub has specs that you have to match up with a specific size box to get the right sound out of them. It would be too much of a pain in the ass for a "stealth" sub install, in my opinion.

I would think the sub would have to be a puny little thing that could barely bump to actually fit in there, and even if it did- you would probably have some pretty insane rattling going on.

I think You'd be better off just putting them in a sub enclosure built for where your spare tire well is.

Making a custom enclosure in the spare tire well it's pretty effective. It gives the best of both words. (Except not having a tire.)
