suspension question

I bought a gsr and it came with what looks like coilover sleeves on stock shocks. The brand is OBX or something like that and I can adjust the height, but when I bought it..they were not all the same height. It did not come with the adjusting wrench either so I been using a flathead and hammer and hitting it to make it turn. My question is, how do you determine if the height on each spring is the same as the others?

Jack the car up and put all the perches all the way down. Then take a sharpie and make a mark on the perch and count the number of turns and do each one the same amount.
