temp gauge question PLEASE HELP!

Yellow/Green Engine Coolant Temp Gauge.........the wire is sticking outta the harness and just hanging by itself infront of the t-stat housing.......outta curiosity, i grounded it to the thermostat housing and my temp guage jumped all the way to HOT......if i unground it....itll be dead cold....regardless if the car is running fine........

my question is.....were do i connect this yellow/green wire to make my temp guage work properly?
i bet itll also strighten out my lean/rich ration and make my car run alot more productive and efficient

i been pullin my hair out tring to figure this out.....please help.

very true but...belive it or not, i dont know anyone else with a teggy...around here....lol
(its one of the reasons why i sold my EG for my Teg../EGs are so played out around my way)

it should go in the plug that goes on by the thermo housing

turns out it was the plug from the harness, it got separated at the base of the cable were it meets the plug......located directly under the dizzy.:roll:

fix it and was amazed to have a working temp guage for the first time in my teg.

learn somethin new with every problem.
