Haha thats what I was trying to get at cheesenip. Your kinda doubling up your work...unless your not wanting the paint to stick at all?

you need to sand the area being painted anyways. You can just wash and paint, but don't expect it to hold up. I did my wheels damn near 3 summers ago and they are still holding up, but thats only becasue I prepped the hell out of them.

Sure it is, if you want the shit to fall off in a few months, your car do it your way. By your logic why would anyone ever need to sand a car before painting it lol

but you just put polish over them...thats defeating the purpose lol. go ahead and spray some paint on there, let me know how many air bubbles (fish eyes) you can see.
