Heres how I did mine and they turned out great.
Step 1. Sand the area being painted
Step 2. Rub area down with rubbinb alcohol
Step 3. Mask off everything you don't want painted
Step 4. Apply 1-2 coats of primer (until area being painted is covered 100%)
Step 5. Apply 2-3 coats of paint (I used lowes brand paint lol)
Step 6. Apply 2 coats clear coat (again i used lowes brand)
Allow 10-15mins dry time between each coat of primer/paint you apply.
