There are a few things you need to do before you boost:

This is not needed but i recommend it: take oil pan off, and clean oit the sludge. visually inspect the girdle, rods, cylinder walls. also itr oil pump (for turbo), replace timing belt, and water pump.
you will also need a new stronger clutch, and i some cases new axles.
