ok so i was dicking around in my engine bay trying to install my SRI and i notice that my throttle cable seems to have quite a bit of slack in it. about an inch or 2 of free play side to side. is this normal?
It's normal for throttle cables to stretch. Just have someone inside the car floor it (while the car is off obviously) and verify that the throttle plate is wide open at 100% pedal travel. If it's not, you can adjust it. Just make sure not to adjust it to where there is too much tension and the throttle plate stay cracked open a hair.
