throttle cable

ok...long story short...my 97 teg got totaled but i kept the motor (b18c1) and im putting it my db8 but the b18c1 has a knock off skunk2 intake manifold and the throttle cable for the db8 is too long bc of the factory intake...so i took the one off my 97 but the connection on the pedal is different btwn the two cars...so am i right for thinking i need one off of like a ls or a b20 or something????
