thump when high rev shifting

wtf is going on.
when i rev to 8k and shift i cant screetch the tires anymore, instead the car kinda thumps and feels like the dash is about to fly off.only happends when shifting to 2nd . i checked the motor mounts and they r good.

maybe you clutch is on its last legs. whats the mileage on the car? do you still have the stock motor mounts? they go bad and you cant tell just by looking at them especially the rear one that you cant easilly see. if all its good then do a compression check or maybe its time for a tune up????

stock mounts, tune up done about 2 weeks ago, engine is a rebuilt 97 gsr about 60k miles on the rebuild..
imma put the car on a lift and find out this weekend

I did that today but it was just bcuz i let the clutch out really bad lol o well...what do you look for in your mounts when they're bad anyways?

just a visual inspection. cracked, torn, loose,

check ur sway bar bushings...maybe its torn n metal is hittin metal when u shift hard..check all ur bushins
