Ticking Noise in Car.

Lately i've been hearing a ticking noise inside of my DC4. it sounds as if i got my turning signal on. it started after my i disconneccted my battery to fix the radio. also the battery went dead so i had to use some jumper cables. the ticking comes on and off. i'll post pics later but i dont really think that will help much. like i said it sounds like its coming from the left side under the cruise control button. thanks in advance for you help!

i feel kind of dumb. i found out wht it was. the previous owner had installed a car alarm and he had partially removed it but i looked under the dash and found a little black box that was making the ticking so i just removed it. there was no use for it no more.
