I know this has been covered but I am really tight for time. I have a 99 GSR and I need to know if I can tighten the Alternator belt by jacking it up and unscrewing the top and bottom bolts that hold the alternator and push it back etc. to create more tension without removing anything else like the axle and stuff. Going camping and my belt has been loose for a while, would suck if it would go out 200 miles from my house.
