tranny fluid questions.

seeing as searching Tranny Fluid in google returns some odd search results.

i figgered id ask yall a few questions.

can i buy honda factory tranny fluid at the acura dealership?
do yall have any other reccomendations as far as tranny fluid goes?
is it easy to figure out if im low. i know i gotta stick my finger in the hole.

i got full synthetic valvoline oil change > tires rotated > tranny fluid checked for 100$ even

Acura makes a new improved version of the Honda MTF. The Acura MTF comes in a gray bottle with a blue label I believe.

Redline and Mobile1 also make good MTF's, and many people like GM Syncromesh. I think the name is good marketing but its just a high quality MTF.

I'd go with GM Synchromesh Friction Modified IF you can find it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with GM Synchromesh; it isn't the same. At that point you might as well go with Honda MTF

I got mine at the acura dealership for 4.50 a bottle... haha... the guy gave me employee price because he was good friends with one of the guys I work with. But its about $8 normally. But the honda mtf and the acura mtf are the same.

honda MTF is what I use. Just remove the fill plug when parked on a level surface to check the level.
