I just bought a 94' Integra LS with an automatic tranny for $1K and its in mint condition other than there is a problem with the tranny. The guy who sold it to me is a buddy of mine. He told me that when you drive it it will slip out of gear and in order to get it back into gear you have to either pull over and shut the car off and put it in park then restart it and it goes back into gear or just put it in neutral and shut it off and turn it back on and it will go back into gear. Now my concern is that maybe the tranny is bad but I'm not sure. I thought that maybe the tranny just needed a filter change and new fluid but another buddy said it could be the "shifter box". I'm not sure what that is or where that is even located at?? If it is the tranny filter is it easy to change or is it a time consuming job? Any help would be greatly appreciated or any thoughts on what the issue may even be would be even better... thx!!:
