Tranny problems

hey there well ive been working on this 1991 gs and ive been having tranny problems, with not shifting till i get to about 5000 rpms now i read that it could be a number of things so i read the codes off of the TCM and it just kept flashing 9 over and over. does anybody know what that code means and how i can check it if so it would alot of help

well i read that if the tcm blinks 9 times and the s3 light blinks then it has something to do with the A/T speed pulser. well i cant find it in my chilton and i have no idea where it is so if anybody can help that would be great thanks!!
