Hey guys im new to da site....got a 1990 acura integra 5speed with a 94 engine swap...the tranny is still the b18b1....ok it feel mushy and less tighter on shifting, like its hard to feel that your in gear...idk if its the u-joint or do the rod need to be changed. And if it is the change rod could i just replace it with a 1994 acura integra change rod, since they look the same and the u-joint is connected to it. I just got a B&M precision sport short shifter, but havent installed it yet till i solve the problem.

change the bushings.
#15 and #18 on the 94 diagram. Energy and Prothane make polyurithane replacements, Mugen make hardened OEM rubber ones and OEM is just rubber

What...? Both rods are your shift linkage. I retained both when I changed to the fast line shifter. But what do i know. Let us know how the install goes.

Wow...You need your whole shift linkage assembly if you want to drive your car dude. Replace the bushings, install your shifter... Problem solved. If not, look up how to rebuild the shift linkage. That rod you said you don't need, is what your shifter attaches to......

1. How do these people hold up their shifters if they remove it. Link please.
2. Yes. Just get a energy suspension shifter bushing kit and save money
3. Compare the part numbers for the rod.
