What is the difference between the 2003 and the 2005 Honda Pilot motors?

I have a rock racing buggy that is running a 2005 Honda Pilot 3.5L VTEC motor. The motor is blown, doesn't like running upside down without oil. Lol
What my question is; does anyone know the difference between the 2003 and the 2005 Honda Pilot motor? Can I switch my accessories off my motor, put it on the 2003 motor and still utilize my original computer and wiring harness.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Its actually my dads. The 2003 motor we can get it for $800 and the 2005 motor would be $1500.

All Pilots from 2003-2008 use the same 3.5L SOHC V6. You can even snag the motor from an Odyssey or a Saturn Vue.
