what is this? Connector behind driver side front bumper?

I found this connection while I was taking off my front lip to sand it down and repair and paint it, looks like someone connected a wire in between the connections on the damn thing.



Im just wondering what it is, and if anything is supposed to connect to it.

Then I bet that extra wire is going to a switched power source... Trace it back..
