what is this plug for? pics!

hey does anybody know what this plug is for
it is in the trunk taped to the driver side tail light harness
1995 db8 if that helps

Is your antenna shaved off? That looks like the plug for it. If thats the rear passenger wheel well/fender area, it would be about right.

nvm, the antenna branches off a bit earlier than that. It may be the plug for a light in a spoiler. Do you have a spoiler mounted on the trunk? if not, that may be what its for. The harnesses are universal, so if the car didnt come with the optional item, there would still be a plug for it.

trailer hitch really never thought about that it is the right number of wires now that i think about it

Break out a multimeter and have someone push the brakes or turn on the lights.
